At a time when life feels like a game of chance and uncertainty looms large, these traditionally logical and orderly Lotería cards drawn from the classic Mexican board game are reimagined through collage. Their familiar structure is cut, reshuffled, and disrupted to echo the chaos and discomfort of navigating unpredictable realities.
The work explores the tension between fate and agency, and the strange, dark humor that surfaces when we’re left to play the hand we’ve been dealt.
