URBAN SPIRITS

Urban Spirits is a photographic series that explores the invisible layers in the city landscapes. Shot in Oaxaca and Mexico City, Mexico, each image captures a fragment of the urban landscape walls, wires, empty streets, quiet thresholds. The photographs are mounted on wood panels and carefully pierced with small holes, through which LED lights emerge. These illuminated points create the appearance of orbs floating within or above the scene. The lights are subtle but intentional suggesting spiritual residue, unnoticed energies, or a kind of quiet haunting. In these works light is not there to illuminate but to lingers between the surfaces.
